• Close the drain screw again when all the used oil has been drained.
• Unscrew the dipstick by turning it counter clockwise and add the new oil,
reinstall the dipstick.
• Dispose of the used oil in accordance with applicable regulations.
MAINTAINING THE AIR FILTER (FIG. E)
Dirty air filters reduce engine power because too little air is being supplied to the
carburettor. Regular checks are therefore crucial. The air filter should be checked
after every 50 hours of use and cleaned if necessary. If the air contains a lot of
dust, the air filter should be checked more regularly.
• Remove the air filter.
• Clean the air filter only with compressed air or by tapping it.
• Install the air filter in the reverse order.
Never clean the air filter with gasoline or flammable solvents.
MAINTENANCE / REPLACING THE SPARK PLUG
• After 10 hours of use, check the spark plug for dirt or soot and clean it with a
copper wire brush if necessary. Perform maintenance after every 50 hours of use.
• Pull the spark plug cap off with one turn.
• Remove the spark plug using a spark plug wrench.
• Install the spark plug in the reverse order.
INSERTING AND REMOVING BLADES
• Worn blades cause poor performance and overload of the motor.
• Check the condition of the blades before each use. Sharpen or replace the
blades with new ones if necessary. It is recommended to have this done by a
specialist.
Wear safe work gloves.

To completely remove the blades from the shaft, proceed as follows:
• Remove the screws on both sides of the machine.
• Remove the locking pin.
• Remove the blade set from the shaft.
To install the knife set:
• Place the blades on the shaft.
• Fasten the blade set with the screws on each side of the machine.
If one or two parts of a blade have been used, do not use the blade set. A
new blade set must be used.
ADJUSTING THE DRIVE BELT (FIG. F + G)
• The belt tension value is approximately 65 mm. When you press the throttle, the
tensioner will move up and press on the belt, transmitting force. When the throttle
is released, the tensioner moves down, the belt loosens and the engine stops.
• If the belt does not have the correct tension value, it must be adjusted. First
loosen 4 engine mounting bolts. If the belt is too loose, the motor should be
moved forward. If the belt is too light, move the motor back. Tighten the motor
mounting bolt when the belt is the correct value.
STORAGE
Do not empty the fuel tank in an enclosed area, near fire, or while
smoking. Petrol fumes can cause explosions and fire.
• Empty the fuel tank using a gasoline pickup pump.
• Start the engine and let it run until all remaining gasoline is used up.
• Change the oil at the end of each season. To do this, remove the used engine oil
from a warm engine and top it up with fresh oil.
• Remove the spark plug from the cylinder head. Fill the cylinder with approx. 20
ml of oil from an oiler. Slowly pull the starter handle back, which will apply oil to
the cylinder wall. Screw the spark plug back in.
• Clean the cooling fins on the cylinder and housing.
• Clean the whole machine to protect the paint.
• Store the machine in a well-ventilated place.
