13.2.2 Elevator
Set the elevator trim so that the model ascends at a flat angle at full motor power and flies at a constant height when
the motor is switched off.
Centre of gravity: Changing the position of the flight battery changes the model's centre of gravity.
This should be noted when trimming the controls.
If the model drifts upwards: Press the trim button for the elevator (downwards) (R5) repeatedly until the model flies
in a straight line.
If the model drifts downwards: Press the trim button for the elevator (upwards) (R6) repeatedly until the model flies
in a straight line.
13.3 Trimming manually
If you fail to satisfactorily trim elevator or rudder through the remote control, try to trim manually.

1. Carefully pry open the clip that links rod and arm.
2. Choose a different hole that yields the desired adjustment and re-attach the clip. Make sure it locks.
3. Reset the trim setting on the remote control.
14. Flight instructions for beginners
14.1 Selecting a suitable location
For the first few flight attempts we recommend flying the model in a large field, a sports field, a model airfield or a
large warehouse/sports hall. If you are flying the model outdoors for the first time, wait for a day with little or no wind.
14.2 Take-off
• When flying the model outdoors, the model must be launched and landed against the wind. When flying the model
indoors, launch the model from a corner of the room rather than the centre. This ensures that you have enough
space for flying in a large circle.
• To ensure that you can identify the location of the model, you should stand behind and to the side of your assistant
and look directly at the flight path.
• In preparation for take-off, your assistant should hold the model with their thumb and index finger on the bottom
of the fuselage under the wings. Slowly apply the throttle and let the motor run at full power. Your assistant should
then release the model forwards in a straight line with a gentle push.
• The model should ascend at a flat angle. You may need to reduce the motor speed. Try to adjust the controls as
little as possible. Only adjust the controls if the model changes its altitude, flies in a curve, ascends too rapidly or
if the nose points downwards.
