INsTALLATIoN
Installation
f secure the fan unit in the enclosure with the screw
provided.
f Push the power cable through the "entry electrical cables"
opening and into the enclosure. The power cable must
protrude 50 cm into the enclosure.
f Prepare the end of the power cable by stripping the
sheath and insulation.
f strip a 6 cm length of sheath from the power cable.
f route the power cable through the cable grommet of the
control unit.
f Connect the 8-pin connector according to the connection
diagram located on the control unit. observe the chapter
"electrical connection".
f Push the control unit onto the fan unit.
f secure the control unit with the 2 screws provided.
f For control units with humidity sensor, push the sensor
head from behind into the opening provided in the filter
holder.
f To fasten the filter holder to the wall cut-out, turn the
screws of the masonry claws clockwise.

since there does not need to be a connection between the
flush-mounted enclosure and the fan unit, it is not important
if the enclosure is installed too deeply. The claws of the filter
holder ensure a good grip with the enclosure and the brick-
work or plaster.
f Install the filter.
f Fit the internal panel.
f rotate the internal panel 45°.
10.2 Surface-mounted appliance
To install the surface-mounted appliance, you need a dN 80-
100 extract air pipe flush with the wall.
10.2.1 Option: Fire safety
The fire protection device has a fire damper made from flame
retardant material and held by a fusible link. In the event of a
fire, the fusible link releases the fire damper. The fire damper
drops down and seals off the ventilation pipe.

If the fire protection device is to be mounted directly on the
appliance, undo the connector from the fire protection device
by turning it.
seal the fire protection device on the back and screw the fire
protection device into the ventilation pipe coming out of the
wall.
If an elbow is used in the wall, observe the insertion depth of
the fire protection device.
10.2.2 Installation
f seal the wall outlet opening of the extract air pipe to the
surrounding wall.
f Push the sealing lip provided onto the back edge of the
base plate. The length of the sealing lip may vary slightly
due to temperature fluctuations. If the sealing lip is too
short, carefully stretch it to the required length. If the seal-
ing lip is too long, trim off the excess material.
f Mount the appliance with the rawl plugs and screws pro-
vided, so that the discharge aperture lines up with the
wall outlet opening of the extract air pipe.
