Appliance description
7.3.2 Commissioning
when commissioning the ventilation unit, it is important to
check and document in the commissioning log that combus-
tion exhaust gases are not penetrating the dwelling in a quan-
tity that is harmful to health.
Commissioning in Germany
Acceptance is carried out by the local flue gas inspector.
Commissioning outside Germany
Acceptance must be carried out by a specialist. In case of
doubt, you must involve an independent expert in the accept-
ance procedure.
7.3.3 Maintenance
regular maintenance of the combustion equipment is pre-
scribed. Maintenance includes checking the exhaust gas ex-
traction system, the free pipe cross-sections and the safety
equipment. The relevant qualified contractor responsible must
prove that there is a sufficient flow of combustion air.
8. Appliance description
The fan can be activated via a light switch or a motion sensor.

Maintain the minimum clearances.
Install the appliance exclusively outside safety zone 0.
due to the operating noise, we recommend that the appliance
is not installed in living spaces or bathrooms without a door.
To avoid draughts, we recommend installing the appliance
next to windows at lintel height.

Unfavourable installation and operating conditions may result
in a reduction of the planned flow rate. According to dIN 18017-
3, the flow rate is permitted to fall to 15 % below the planned
flow rate as a result of external factors or when operating sev-
eral ventilation units simultaneously in one line.
For flush-mounted appliances only: Installation depth
Installation depth
The minimum installation depth is equal to the dimension from
the back of the enclosure to the plaster edge flush with the in-
terior plaster. A larger installation depth or retrospective fitting
of tiles is possible as there is no need for the flush-mounted
enclosure and the filter holder to be connected. The claws of
the filter holder ensure a good grip of both the enclosure and
the brickwork or plaster.
LA 60 G-UB : Installation position
The appliances must not be operated with the air outlet di-
rected downwards.
