6 Power Supply
The unit can be operated with mains voltage and for mobile use via rechargeable batteries. Set the power
switch into the CHARGE position to recharge the internal battery (with power supply cable connected to the
mains). The CHARGE indicator lights red. The battery is also charged, when the unit is operating (ON
position), but much less quickly and efficiently. Once the recharging process has been completed, the
charge indicator will go out. To prevent unnecessary power consumption, always disconnect the mains plug
from the mains socket if the unit is not used for a longer period.
6.1 Battery operation
During battery operation, the 4-digit LED meter will indicate the charging state of the rechargeable batteries.
When the capacity of the batteries is sufficient, all indicators light up. If only one bar is lit, the battery is
almost discharged and should be recharged as soon as possible. Then connect the device to the mains
power to charge the battery.
Notes
The average battery life after a full charge cycle is about 4 hours. This value can be reduced by up to half
depending on the volume level set. In addition, the runtime depends on the room temperature (faster
discharge at low temperatures) and progressive power degradation due to charge/discharge cycles.
To prevent damage to the battery due to deep discharge and to prevent a reduction of its lifetime, please
observe the following notes:
• Always fully recharge the battery prior to initial operation and after longer storage.
• Fully recharge the battery prior to longer storage and at least every month during storage.
7 Operation
7.1 Mixer unit
1) Prior to switching on, turn down the master control MASTER LEVEL for the overall level to the left stop
position to avoid a possible switching-on noise.
2) First switch on the connected audio sources, then switch on the PA system. The POWER indicator lights
up green. If only one of the battery indicators lights up during battery operation, the battery must be
charged.
3) Adjust the MASTER LEVEL control to a level that the subsequent adjustments can be heard well via the
PA system.
4) Adjust the desired volume ratio of the signal sources with the level controls in channel 1-4. Turn the
controls of the inputs not used to zero.
5) Adjust the desired sound of the mono channels CH 1-3 with the tone controls. By adjusting the tone
controls, the high frequencies (control TREBLE) and the low frequencies (control BASS) can be boosted
or attenuated. With the controls in mid-position, the frequency response is not affected.
6) An echo effect created via the integrated effect processor can be added to the mono channels CH 1-3.
Adjust the effect intensity with the EFFECT control.
7) It is possible to select various equalizer presets with the DSP PRESETS switch: FLAT = frequency
response is not affected, DJ = increased presence and bass, LIVE = low and high frequency boost.
8) Determine the definite level for the overall volume of the PA system with the MASTER LEVEL control. In
case of overload the red LIMIT indicator lights up. If it lights continuously, turn back the MASTER LEVEL
control accordingly
9) After operation, switch off the PA system first. The power indicator goes out. The automatic charging for
the rechargeable battery is always active even if the unit is switched off. To prevent unnecessary power
consumption, always disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if the unit is not used for a longer
period.
