5.2 Control, care and inspection
 Allow the product to cool down to room tempera-
ture.
 Inspect the product after each cleaning and disin-
fecting cycle to be sure it is: clean, functional, and
undamaged.
 Lubricate the shearing head as appropriate, see
section Lubricating the shearing head.
 To enhance the cutting power, adjust the plate
pressure as required, see section Adjusting the
plate pressure.
 Check the product for any damage, abnormal run-
ning noise, overheating or excessive vibration.
 Inspect the shearing head for broken, damaged or
blunt cutting edges.
 Set aside the product if it is damaged.
6. Maintenance
To ensure reliable operation, Aesculap recommends
servicing the product at least once a year.
