Using your wheelchair
Getting in and out
Getting in and out from the side
The wheelchair allows you to easily get in and out. The foot plates and leg
supports can be turned sideways, the side parts can be removed upwards.
Place the wheelchair and the current or future seating surface as close
beside one another as possible.
Should you wish to transfer from another wheelchair or another seating to the
wheelchair, make sure that the wheels are secured by applying the locking
brake.
Secure the wheelchair against accidental rolling away by adjusting the brake
lever on the right and left-hand side.
Lift up the brake lever from the arrest position and turn the lever down to the
rear. In that way, you provide a flat surface for the transfer.
Pivot the side part to the rear.
Fold the foot plates upwards.
Pivot the leg supports towards the inside or exterior (if necessary, of both
wheelchairs when you wish to transfer from one wheelchair to the other).
Now slide sideways onto the seating surface.
Make sure you are sitting in the seat as far back as possible.
Finally, pivot the side part and the leg supports back into their home position.
Pull the levers of the locking brake into the operating position.
Locking brake adjustment:
Push the brake lever into driving
position. The brake lever now is
positioned horizontally and allows
easy transfer.
