Maintenance
Structure of Maintenance chapter
The accompanying illustration sequences must be
followed while carrying out the instructions provided
in this chapter. Each set of instructions refers to the
accompanying illustration sequence.
Maintenance performed by the
operator
Maintenance work such as cleaning or setting the
flush time can also be performed by the operator.
Cleaning the urinal trap
It is essential to clean the urinal trap regularly in
order to keep the urinal flush control functioning
correctly. Hard water and urine will cause urine
scale deposits to build up. These deposits may
impair the function of the sensors in the urinal trap
and clog the urinal trap.
Cleaning recommendations:
• use standard WC cleaning agents for deposits
from hard water.
• also remove any deposits in the trap bend and in
the adapter leading to the discharge pipe.
demount the urinal ceramic to clean the trap.
• if the deposits are heavy, replace the urinal trap.
→ See "Replacing the urinal trap", page 29.
To clean the urinal ceramic and the urinal trap, the
flush actuation can be suppressed for a few
minutes using a Geberit app.
Setting the flush time
The flush time can be adjusted to suit the user's
needs using a Geberit app.
Maintenance performed by skilled
persons
The maintenance work described in the following
chapters may only be performed by skilled persons.
If the urinal ceramic is demounted for maintenance
work, it is recommended to carry out the following
work:
• Clean the basket filter in the solenoid valve.
• Test the seals.
• Clean and descale the screen filters and replace
them if necessary.
