4. Inflating the cuff

Switch on the device by pressing the Start/
Stop button. The entire display lights up
(segment test). In this way you can check to
make sure that all the display elements are
working properly. Shortly after that a down
arrow appears followed by the display „0",
and then the cuff is automatically inflated to
approx. 190 mmHg. If that cuff pressure is
not sufficient for measuring blood pressure
levels, the device automatically increases
cuff pressure in increments of 40 mmHg
until sufficient pressure has been reached.
The inflation and measuring process can be
discontinued at any time by pressing the
Start/Stop button. To control the inflation
processed manually, keep the Start/Stop but-
ton pressed as soon as inflation has started
and release it again as soon as cuff pressure
has reached 40 mmHg above the maximum
systolic pressure to be expected. If cuff
pressure has exceeded approx. 190 mmHg,

Operation of the device
inflation stops as soon as you let go of the
button. The pressure can be increased up to
approx. 280 mmHg.
Please note:
The device may only be inflated when it is
attached to the wrist.
