Points to remember

• Check the indicator lights every day, in case there
is some state or function which needs attention.
• Everyday care of the RO 400 consists basically of
keeping it clean. The outside of the appliance
should be cleaned with a damp cloth only. Do not
use a wet cloth and do not pour water over it for
cleaning. Do not use any cleaning agents.
• Once a month check that all connections to the
appliance are properly secured and watertight.
Wipe off any condensation which may have
collected inside the appliance base. Leaks outside
the appliance cannot be detected by the
appliance's leakage protection system.
• The appliance needs to be descaled at regular
intervals. The frequency of this depends on the
hardness of the water supply (sodium and
magnesium content).

REGULAR CARE OF THE RO 400

• Be sure to replace the filters as soon as necessary.
The life of these filters is determined by (amongst
other factors) the quality of your water supply.
• After replacing filters, leave the discarded filter
insert to drain for a few minutes. These filters can
be discarded as ordinary household refuse, since
they do not contain any substances which are
hazardous to the environment .
• The membrane should be replaced when the flow
of purified water, despite regular flushing, has
reduced to approximately half of what it was
originally. Contact your dealer for more
information.
• If the RO 400 is not going to be used for a
period of more than four months, or if it is going
to be disconnected from the water and electricity
mains for a period of time (several days) then it
needs to be filled with a preserving agent.
