INSTALLATION

Calibration

The water purifier needs to be calibrated specifically for
your water supply, to ensure the correct purification level.
Calibration should only be carried out when:
• the water purifier is new and has never been used before
• the quality of the water supply has changed for some reason,
such as if you move the appliance to a different area.
• the membrane has just been replaced
The water produced by the appliance during the
calibration procedure must not be consumed!
How to calibrate the water purifier:
1. After the third automatic flushing procedure, which
takes about 30 seconds, the RO 400 stops for a second
and then starts running purified water into the reject
water outlet. Once production has started, press the
calibration button within 10 seconds (see fig. F) and
hold it in (about 3-5 seconds) until both lights for
"purification level I and II" go on for 1 second and
then go off. Only release the button when the "on/off"
light goes on.
If any of the Purification Level lights I-III stay on (lit),
then one of the steps has been carried out wrongly. See
"Trouble-shooting table" and start once more from
point 4, under "flushing procedure".
2. Leave the RO 400 producing water for at least
10 minutes without interruption. The lights for
Purification Levels I and II will now come on for 1
second and then go out and the water quality level will
then be displayed by the light for Purification Level III
coming on and staying on, indicating the highest
purification level.
If the lights for Purification Levels I, II and III flash
intermittently, this means that calibration has not been
carried out properly. If so, start again from point 4
under "Flushing procedure" .
3. Unplug the appliance from the mains, wait for a minute
and then plug it back in. Unplug it again when the
automatic flushing procedure has finished.
The RO 400 is now ready to produce purified water.
Connect the hose, which had been temporarily connected
to the reject water outlet, to another appliance or item of
ancillary item of equipment.
