Consequently, an input change is made for both channels simultaneously.
Only the audio output of the siereo channels can be adjusted separately
on stereo operation by disengaging volume couirel.
And here a specification of the sound channels:
Cheonnel 1 is contro!led on recording by recording key 1-2, on playback
by playback key 1-2. This channel is amplified by the left-hand oviput
stage cnd passes to the upper head systems which record resp. reproduce
track 1 ond (after reversal of the tape) track 2. That ts the left-hand
channe! on stereo operation. =
Channel 2 is. operated by recording key 3-4 and playback key 3-4. !t
belongs to the right-hand output stage and the lower head systems which
record resp. reproduce tracks 3 resp. 4. This channel is the right-hand
chonnel on stereo operation. F
Ficure 1: Mono operation
The fape is running from left to right beginning with the green leader tape.
To record track 1 and (after having reversed the reels) track 3 over the
upper head systems lock recording key 1~2. At the end of this tape track
the reels are reversed and track 2 is recorded via the same head assembly
as track 1 but the tape runs from right to left beginning with the red
leacler tape. After having reversed the reels lock recording key 3-4 for
recording on frack 3 via the lower head assembly. The running direction
is from green to red, resp. when recording on track 4 from red io green.
Thus the tape will be fully recorded.
Playback can be made with the same sequence os recording; er playback
keys 1~2 and 3~4 may serve as program selectors between tracks 1 and 3
resp. 2 and 4. Both mcno-recorded programs may be reproduced simui-
foneously in separated rooms when adding an extension speoker to One
output stage and locking both playback keys as on stereo playback. The
audio ovtpui of each channel may be regulaied separately when dis-
engaging volume control. if you want to interchange the programs depress
key CON.
Tne iracks of GRUNDIG tope recorders are numbered in accordance with
equonce of recording or playback.

Bei der Hinterbandkontrolle héren Sie das, was der Sprechkonf eben cui
