*Stand-by' mode of the
cassette player
This offers the following
advantages:
— The cassette remains
protected from dust and dirt
(a.o. residuals of cigars and
cigarettes).
The cassette player is
automatically switched over to
the stand-by mode:
lf button/lever G) is moved
into the first locking position to
the right or to the left, fast
forward winding or fast
rewinding starts until the tape
has reached the next or
previous music pause. Then
fast winding is stopped;
button/lever (6) reassumes its
mid-position and the desired
music part will be replayed.
Note
— Cassette tapes which
contain very soft passages
(pianissimi) or intermittent
silent intervals (conversation,
news reading etc...).
Playback
ENGLISH
will extinguish. The cassette
may be removed by pressing
button/lever G) fully home or
playback may be continued by
pressing play button (©).
@ If the cassette plays through
to the end, the unit will be set
automatically to cassette
stand-by position and radio
reception will be restarted.
Remark: lf the cassette player
suddenly stops play back
operation before the end of the
tape you may have trouble with
a jamming cassette.
To prevent damage of the
cassette take it out after
pushing the button /lever G)
fully home.
Fast winding
Fast winding may be started
from two positions:
a) From playback position
(cassette playback)
@ during cassette play it is
possible to pass to fast forward
winding or fast rewinding by
moving button /lever (6) to the
extreme right or left locking
position (respectively).
Indicator (7) remains
illuminated. Fast winding is
stopped by pressing button (©);
playback will then be
automatically continued.
@ If the cassette is fast
forwarded through the end of
the tape the unit will be set
automatically to cassette
stand-by position and radio
reception will be started.
b) From stand-by position
(radio reception)
@ For fast forward winding or
fast rewinding, move
button/lever () to the extreme
right or left locking position
respectively.
