4*)
Battery charging time from 0% to 75% (3 LED
indicator lights are lit on the battery) takes
1 h:40 min., however the time to full charge
(the remaining 25%) takes a further 2 h:40 min.
This is due to the protective electronics on the
battery, which gradually reduce the charging
current, which extends the necessary time until
full charge. For time reasons, it is not necessary
to charge the battery to 100%, and 75% is
sufficient (3 LED indicator lights on the battery
are lit) or the device can also be used connected
to the battery power supply, e.g. a powerbank.
5*)
Only non-conductive soiling, whilst only
occasionally, temporary conductivity may occur
as a result of misting.

Iv. Charging the battery
y Insert the USB-C plug of the USB charging cable
into the USB-C battery socket and connect the
cable into a mains power adapter intended for
220 V power sockets. Prior to connecting the
adapter to a power socket, first check that the
voltage in the socket corresponds to the voltage
in specified on the power adapter.
y Only the USB computer or powerbank socket
may be used for charging. The specified value
of 3.7 V is the rated voltage when under battery
load; the terminal voltage of a fully charged
battery is 4.1 V. A voltage of 5 V is required for

charging the battery.

y The battery charge level is shown by the num-
ber of indicator lights lit on the battery (fig.
5, position 3) when the button on the battery
(fig. 5, position 4) is pressed. A full charge is
shown when all the indicator lights on the
battery are lit.
y The battery can be charged from any charge
level without reducing its capacity. It is not
necessary to fully charge the battery, and thus
for time reasons, it is sufficient to charge the
battery to 75% - for more information see tech-
nical specification notes (chapter II).
y For continuous operation, the battery may have
a voltage connected to the USB port when the
laser device is turned on.
y The battery has integrated protection against
a current greater than 1A, thus the battery can
be charged from the USB port of a computer,
powerbank, etc. irrespective of the specified
output current value. A USB charger (output)
with a charging current greater than 1A will not
accelerate the battery charging process.
y The electronic battery protection prevents the
battery from overcharging. The charging of
the battery is automatically stopped when it is
fully charged.

v. Settings
and using the device
ATTENTIoN
y Read the entire user's manual before using the
device. If you lend or sell the device to some-
body, please also include this user's manual,
protect this manual against damage.
1. Insert a battery into the laser device.
2. Put the device on a rigid surface or screw
it into the thread on a tripod (a tripod is
not included as an accessory).
3. Check whether the bubble in the water
level is in the centre of the marked circle
(fig. 4, position 1). If not, then set it to the
required position by turning the screw legs on
the tripod of the device or an external tripod,
otherwise the device will be outside the auto-
-levelling range and after the device is turned
on the laser lines will flash together with
intermittent beeping.
4. Turn on the device by turning the screw
(power switch) (fig. 3, position 8).
y After turning on the device, the horizontal line
with a single dot and a red floor dot will turn
on automatically. The „H" button can be used
to turn off the horizontal line and the floor dot,
or the „V" button can be used to gradually add
vertical (plumb) lines until 4V1H6D as shown in
fig. 1, which comprises of two parallel vertical
planes and a single horizontal plane with five
dots and a single red floor dot.
y The horizontal line and the vertical lines can
be activated/deactivated independently of
each other using respective buttons. The red
floor dot is not lit when the horizontal line is
not activated.
5. Turning the device in the horizontal
direction using the fine screw adjustment
mechanism (fig. 5, position 2) it is possi-
ble to shift the vertical lines and dots
relative to the horizontal line.
LEvELLINg AUTomATICS
y When activated, levelling automatics of the
device level deviations of the laser line in the
range ± 3°.
y Levelling is complete when the lines are still.
y When the position is changed, the device sets
the level automatically.
y In the event that the position of the device
deviates more than ± 3° from the horizontal
plane (which is outside the levelling range),
the projected lines will start to flash together
with intermittent beeping. When the position
of the device returns back to the scope of the
levelling range, the laser line will again level
itself automatically.
PULSE moDE
y The pulse mode is intended for determining the
position of the laser line by a receiver (detector)
of the laser signal in a large area or under unfa-
vourable light conditions, where the laser line
cannot be reliably seen by a human eye.
y If this function is not activated on the laser
device, the receiver (detector) does not detect
the laser line of the self-levelling laser device.
For the compatibility of the self-levelling laser
device with the receiver, the acceptable tech-
nical specifications for the laser must be met,
which must be specified in the technical speci-
fications of the receiver - namely the frequency
of the laser when the pulse mode on the laser
device is activated. This device is compatible
with receivers of the Extol® Premium 8823390
brand. Prior to purchasing a receiver of a diffe-
rent brand available on the market, first verify
that it is compatible with this laser device.
y When you have the projection of the required
laser lines activated, activate/deactivate the
pulse mode function using the Pulse mode
button (fig. 4, position 3), thereafter it will be
possible to detect the laser lines with the laser
receiver (detector).
