Exchange of the sensor body (remote version)
for Levelflex M FMP43
The instrument may only be maintained and repaired by qualified personnel.

The repair must be performed such that the voltage resistance of the Ex ia circuits relative to ground potential
is maintained. If required, a test can be performed with 500 Veff for 60 seconds.
The threads in the housing and on the lid must be checked.
In case of damage, the faulty part must be exchanged.

The device documentation, applicable standards
The exchange requires the following tools:
• Vise with fiber braces for surface protection of the polished
rod probe or pipe fitting wrench with flat surface or braces
only for devices with spanner flat at the probe rod (from 2009)
• Hook wrench for grooved nuts
• Open-ended wrench AF20 mm, AF22 mm, AF24 mm,
AF27 mm
• Open-ended wrench AF32 mm with a torque adjustment
up to 20 Nm (only for process connection clamp)
• Philips screw driver size 1
• Unplug tool for antenna plug (order No. 52007646)
• If reuired a pair of tweezers, flat-nose pliers
Separation of sensor body - probe side
Procedure
1 Separate the sensor body, therefore unscrew grooved nut with
hook wrench and counterhold at the spanner flat of process
adapter (AF27 mm).
2 Dismount the probe from process tank.
3 Unscrew the adapter with the process connection from the
probe rod (AF27 mm).
ATTENTION:
The surface of the polished probe rod should not be damaged by
marks or notches!
4 Unscrew process connection from the adapter of sensor body.
If necessary, exchange the O-ring.

The assembly of the sensor body is done in reverse order.
Observe the respective torques!
