Toggle switch for operating mode
Use the toggle switch (A) (Fig. 45) select the operating mode, whether
the wheelchair will be controlled by the attendant control unit or by the
user. The selected operating mode will be shown through the LEDs (B).
The red LED lights up when the wheelchair is being controlled by the
user. The green LED lights up when the wheelchair can be controlled
by the attendant.
Adjustment function button
All R-NET attendant control units are fitted with an adjustment func-
tion button as standard. If the R-NET control unit is not programmed
with any adjustment options, this button has no function.
However if the R-NET control unit is programmed with 1 or up to 4
adjustment options, the functions for this button are described in the
relevant section below.
Wheelchairs with up to 4 adjustment options
Pressing the adjustment function button (C) once will activate the set-
up mode for the electronic adjustment options.
By deflecting the joystick forwards or backwards, you can control the
relevant adjustment direction for the individual channels. Select be-
tween the adjustment options by deflecting the joystick to the left or
right. When you change the selected adjustment option, this is shown
on the control panel of the user's control unit.
To return to drive mode, either press the adjustment function button
(C) or the speed level button (E).
Speed levels display
Indicates the speed level adjustment for the wheelchair, if the atten-
dant control unit is activated. There are five settings - setting 1 is the
lowest speed and setting 5 is the highest speed. The speed level is
adjusting using the (E) button.

Button for speed level adjustment
Use this button (E) to adjust the speed level of the wheelchair, if the at-
tendant control unit is activated. By pressing this button, the maximum
possible speed of the relevant drive speed will be increased by one
level, until you reach level 5. Pressing again will reset the speed back
to level 1. If the control unit is programmed for operation with drive
profiles, only the speed level within the selected profile will be adjusted
using the button for speed level adjustment of the positioning system.
4.9. Locking and unlocking of the
wheelchair
The R-Net control system can be locked to prevent unauthorised use.
The locking method is by a sequence of button presses and joystick
movements as described below.
To lock the wheelchair
- With the control system switched on, press and hold the on/off
button.
- After 1 second, the control system will beep. Now release the on/
off button.
- Move the joystick forward until the control system beeps.
- Move the joystick backwards until the control system beeps.
- Release the joystick, you will hear a long beep.
- The wheelchair is now locked.
To unlock the wheelchair;
- Switch on the control system with the on/off button. The maximum
speed/profile display moves up and down.
- Move the joystick forward until the control system beeps.
- Move the joystick backwards until the control system beeps.
- Release the joystick, you will hear a long beep.
- The wheelchair is now unlocked.
