or wipe down with a damp cloth and
then dry.
• Store the power tool out of the reach
of children and animals in a dry, clean,
frost-free place that is protected from
direct sunlight and dust.
• Remove the battery (4) from the pow-
er tool and charge it before storing it
for a lengthy period of time.
• During a lengthy period of storage,
check the charge status of the battery
approx. every 3 months and recharge
if necessary in order to prevent a deep
discharge.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the power tool does not work properly,
check whether you are able to rectify the
problem yourself. If the problem cannot
be solved with the steps listed, contact
the customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair a power
tool yourself!
The battery is not charging up. / The
control lamp on the power supply
does not light up when the battery is
connected to the mains power.
The plug connectors do not fit properly in
the respective sockets.
► Check the fit of the plug connectors
and correct if necessary.
The plug socket is defective.
► Try another plug socket.
There is no mains voltage.
► Check the electrical distributor (fuse
box).
The power tool cannot be switched
on.
The rotation direction changeover
switch (18) is in the middle position.
► Set a rotation direction.

The battery is too weak.
► Charge up the battery.
The battery is not inserted correctly.
► Correct the fit of the battery.
The power tool is not working prop-
erly.
The inserted tool (bit, drill bit, sanding
disc, saw blade) is blunt or damaged.
► The inserted tool can no longer be
used. Use a new one.
The workpiece is unsuitable.
► Only use the power tool with work-
pieces which are suitable for the
inserted tool (bit, drill bit, sanding
disc, saw blade).
The battery is too weak.
► Charge up the battery.
Despite charging up the battery, the
operating time is much shorter.
The battery is used up.
► Obtain a new battery from the cus-
tomer service department. Only use
original batteries.
