CHARGING UP THE
BATTERY
Please Note!
■ Charge the battery only indoors in an
ambient temperature of from 7°C to
40°C.
■ Allow a battery which has heated up to
cool down before you charge it.
■ Connect the power supply only to a
proper plug socket which corresponds
to the data on the rating plate.
It is essential that you charge up the
battery fully before you first use the
device in order to achieve the maxi-
mum charging capacity. The lithium-ion
battery can subsequently be charged up
at any time without reducing its life span.
Interrupting the charging process will not
damage the battery.

If the battery is fully discharged
during use, it must be fully charged
up again before it is next used.
1. Press the release button for the
battery (21) and pull the battery off the
motor unit (3).
2. Fully unwind the connecting cable (7).
3. First plug the barrel connector into the
charging socket (20) of the battery and
then plug the power supply into a plug
socket.
The charging process then begins and
the control lamp of the power supply
lights up.

The battery may warm up as it
charges. This is normal.
4. As soon as the control lamp lights up
green, the battery is charged up.
Disconnect the connecting cable
from the plug socket and then from
the charging socket. Do not leave the
charged battery connected to the plug
socket.

USE

Please Note!
■ Sawing or sanding may produce
harmful dusts (e.g. from materials
such as paints containing lead, mate-
rial which contains asbestos, metals
or some types of wood) which may
present a hazard to the operator or
people located nearby. Make sure that
the workplace is well ventilated and
wear protective equipment.
■ Do not switch between clockwise and
anticlockwise rotation or adjust the
torque while the power tool is operat-
ing in order to prevent any damage to
the power tool.

The battery is supplied partial-
ly charged. To ensure that the
battery delivers full power, charge
up the battery fully before you first
use it (see the "Charging up the
Battery" chapter).
Attaching / Detaching the Battery
• Attaching: Slide the battery (4) into
the base of the motor unit (3) until you
hear it engage.
• Detaching: Press the release but-
ton (21) for the battery and pull the
battery off the motor unit.
Attaching / Detaching Attachments
Attaching: Place the screw attach-
•
ment (2), sanding attachment (6) or
oscillating attachment (5) on the motor
unit (3) and push it on until you hear it
engage.
• Detaching: Press the two release but-
tons (17) on the attachment and pull it
off the motor unit.
