switch is dangerous and must be
repaired.
c) Pull the plug out of the plug socket
and / or remove a detachable bat-
tery before any device settings are
made or accessories are changed
or the power tool is put to one side.
This preventive measure reduces the
risk of starting the power tool acciden-
tally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the
reach of children. Do not allow
people who are unfamiliar with the
power tool or have not read these
instructions to operate the power
tool. Power tools are dangerous in the
hands of inexperienced people.
e) Handle power tools and inserted
tools with care. Check whether
moving parts function perfectly and
do not jam and check whether parts
are broken or damaged in such a
way that the function of the power
tool is impaired. Have damaged
parts repaired before using the
power tool. Many accidents are
caused by poorly maintained power
tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
Properly maintained cutting tools with
sharp cutting edges are less likely to
bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, inserted tool
etc. in accordance with these
instructions. Take account of the
working conditions and the work
to be performed. Use of power tools
for operations different from those
intended could result in a hazardous
situation.
h) Keep handles and gripping sur-
faces dry, clean and free of oil and
grease. Slippery handles and gripping
surfaces do not allow safe operation
and control of the power tool in unfore-
seen situations.

5) Cordless Tool Use and Care
a) Only charge up the batteries using
chargers which are recommend-
ed by the manufacturer. A charger
which is suitable for a certain kind of
battery presents a risk of fire if it is
used with other batteries.
b) Only use the batteries which are
intended to be used in the power
tools. The use of different batteries
may cause injuries and a risk of fire.
c) Keep the unused battery away
from paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws or other small metallic
objects which might cause the con-
tacts to be bypassed. A short circuit
between the battery contacts may
cause burns or a fire.
d) If used incorrectly, fluid may es-
cape from the battery. Avoid any
contact with it. Rinse with water if
you happen to come into contact
with it. If the fluid gets into your
eyes, you should also seek medical
assistance. Escaping battery fluid can
lead to skin irritations or burns.
e) Do not use a battery that has been
damaged or modified. Damaged or
modified batteries may display unpre-
dictable behaviour which may lead to
a fire, explosion or risk of injury.
f) Do not expose a battery to fire or
high temperatures. Fire or tem-
peratures of over 130°C may cause
explosions.
g) Follow all instructions for charging
the battery. Only ever charge the
battery or the power tool within the
temperature range which is spec-
ified in the operating instructions.
Inappropriate charging or charging
at temperatures outside the specified
range may damage the battery and
increase the risk of fire.
h) If the battery is damaged and used
inappropriately, vapours may escape.
