• Examine the water hoses for leakage. Do not
operate a product that has damaged water hoses.
To adjust the tension of the drive belt
1. Loosen the 3 screws and remove the drive belt
cover.
2. Make sure that the drive belt is not damaged.
3. Loosen the screws that keep the engine in position.
4. Turn the tension screw ¼ turn clockwise to increase
the tension of the drive belt.
CAUTION:
tension of the drive belt too much.
5. Make sure that the drive belt pulleys are aligned.
6. Tighten the screws that keep the engine in position.
7. Turn the tension screw 2 turns counterclockwise to
prevent that the tension screw touches the engine
block.
8. Install the drive belt cover and tighten the 3 screws.
To lubricate the product
Lubricate the components that follow. Lubricate until the
grease can be seen at the edges. For correct grease,
refer to Technical data on page 20 .

2. Lubricate the blade shaft bearings (A) and the
bushings (C), on the left side and the right side of
the product.

3. Lubricate the lubrication points of the lever for cutting
depth adjustment (B).
4. Lubricate (D) below the nut.
5. Turn the cutting depth wheel clockwise and
counterclockwise again and again and lubricate
equally.
To do a check of the engine oil level
1. Make sure that the cutting blade is removed and that
the product is level when you examine the engine oil
level.
2. Remove the dipstick from the oil tank.
3. Clean the oil from the dipstick.
4. Put the dipstick back fully into the oil tank.
5. Remove the dipstick.
