Maintenance
Check the quality of the produced parts regularly.
The nozzle and belt wear out during printing.
We recommend changing the nozzle after constant use. The appropriate frequency is highly dependent on the abrasiveness of
the materials used.
The nozzle should be changed as soon as you notice that the extrusion width far exceeds its original size.
After more than a month of constant printing with iFactory3D brass nozzles and iFactory3D PETG filaments, we still achieved
satisfactory results.
Non-hardened brass nozzles wear faster than hardened nozzles especially when using filaments with high abrasiveness, such
as plaster or reinforced filaments.
The belt will usually last between 6 and 12 months at constant pressure if the full width of the belt is used. Try varying the
placement of objects in the cutter to evenly use the entire width of the belt and increase its life.
The belt may get stained after printing with some materials, but it is still capable of printing on those areas.
Replace the belt if it is very roughened and the fibers are noticeably visible, or parts of the belt have melted.
Check the friction of the linear rails holding the printhead regularly.
For relubricating, check the instructions:
https://www.hiwin.us/wp-content/uploads/lubricating_instructions.pdf
for MGN12 linear rails.
Use supported lubricants only.
Warranty
Perform all maintenance instructions regularly. There is no warranty on parts listed in the maintenance section caused by
skipping the maintenance schedule or by normal wear.
If you perform any software changes unauthorized by iFactory3D, we cannot provide any support for software-related issues.
Opening the power supply unit or changing parts of the electronics will also lead to a loss of warranty.
Do not use any software which is not officially tested by iFactory3D.
Do not replace any parts of the machine with other parts that have not been previously approved by iFactory3D.
Only use genuine iFactory3D parts for this machine.
Modification of the machine by replacement of parts or other mechanical processing will result in the loss of the warranty for all
modified parts and all damage caused thereby.
