Installing the SmartDoor
ensures the best possible operation of your
SmartDoor ™ in a metal door.
The metal in your door can interfere with the sensor in
the SmartDoor , affecting performance. By installing the
™
SmartDoor within a larger opening (with the installation
™
adaptors and spacer provided), you will increase the space
between the pet door and the metal door, reducing or
eliminating this interference and allowing the pet door to work
as intended.
Important: If you previously installed the SmartDoor
metal door without installation adaptors, remove it now. You
will be increasing the size of the opening and then reinstalling
the pet door with a larger spacer and installation adaptors.
