RESPONSIBILITY
The practice of cycling involves the risk of potentially serious injuries, which could lead to the death
of the user in the event of an accident. As the parent, legal guardian or guardian of the child, you are
fully responsible for the activities and safety of the child using the balance bike. You are advised that
there are risks associated with the use of any bicycle which cannot be foreseen or avoided, and
which are the sole responsibility of its user.
It is your responsibility to ensure that:
▼ Your child uses the balance bike in proper conditions under adult direct supervision, in a
protected and secure area. You are informed that the balance bike is not approved for road
traffic. We recommend wearing protective equipment!
▼ This balance bike should be used with caution since skill is required to avoid falls or collisions
causing injuries to the user or third parties.
▼ Your child has understood your instructions.
▼ The balance bike is only used on flat, solid surfaces without obstacles. The balance bike is not
designed for performing jumps, acrobatics or for use on uneven surfaces. This could put your
child in danger of falling and serious injury.
▼ Ensure that the user of balance bike wears closed shoes and appropriate protective clothing: a
helmet, knee pads, ellbow pads and/or other approved protection should be correctly attached
and adjusted to the size of the user. We remind you that wearing helmet is compulsatory.
Please check the Legal status of your country before using the balance bike.

Basic Maintenance and Use
Remember that preventive maintenance is key to keeping your bike in perfect condition.
Cleaning
9.
Cleaning your bike regularly makes it easier to detect any defects, worn/loose parts or frame
damage. We strongly recommend using a bicycle cleaner solution with a sponge and/or soft brush
and always rinse thoroughly with water after. Do not clean with a pressure hose or gun as it could
damage the bearings!
Brakes
10.
Make sure that the brake cable head is properly seated in the brake lever on the handlebars and the
brake cable moves freely when the brake lever is pulled. Do not forget to re-tighten the brake
tension barrel on the brake lever, ensuring that there is sufficient tension in the brake cable without
the brake pads rubbing on the rim
!!! Always check the brakes before riding. If you are in any doubt, contact your Rascal dealer or
Rascal Bikes approved service center.
