Frame warranty
A warranty only applies to manufacturing defects in the frame and in the way it was constructed, and
does not apply to the surface finish/coating of the frame and its accessories. We offer a 2-year
warranty period for frame (with an extension for another 2 years if you register your frame number),
a rigid fork and for all components. We cover any obvious defects-not covered are damages caused
by normal wear and tear, crashes, or misuse of the products (including usage of the Rascal bike over
the frame described in "A Rascal Bike Intended Use"). In the event of a defective frame which
conforms with the warranty conditions, Rascal Bikes will provide the customer with a new frame of
equal or greater value. All you need is sending us a picture of a damage and we will happily help you
in a timely manner.
Warranty Claim Policy
Any work carried out under warranty must be performed by a Rascal Bikes approved service center.
The customer must be able to provide proof of purchase and a completed claim form, which you will
find on our website or will be provided via E-Mail. The customer is responsible for any shipping or
transport costs to and from the Rascal Bikes approved service center.
Rascal Bikes reserves the right to determine whether the defective product will be repaired, replaced
free of charge or refunded to the customer.
In the event of a defective frame which conforms with the warranty conditions, Rascal Bikes will
provide the customer with a new frame of equal or greater value. The new frame does not have to
be the same as the purchased model. Rascal Bikes does not pay the cost of service when replacing
the frame if the replacement occurs after one year of the purchase date.
In the event that a customer decides to repair the defective product themselves or at a service
center not authorized by Rascal Bikes, Rascal Bikes is not responsible for any damages or losses
caused by the intervention of an unauthorized person.
Lifetime of a Rascal Bike
The lifetime of a Rascal Bike and frame is independent of and not to be confused with the warranty
period. Beyond the warranty period, the lifetime of a Rascal Bike, its components and accessories will
vary depending on the model, usage and maintenance. Any improper use may significantly shorten
the lifetime of the Rascal Bike frame, components or accessories. All Rascal bikes and their frames
should be regularly checked during and beyond the warranty period, by a Rascal Bikes approved
service center for any defects (including cracks, corrosion, dents, warping, peeling paint or other
potential problems caused by improper use).
We strongly recommend carrying out these checks annually, in combination with regular
maintenance and bike servicing. These safety checks are important to prevent accidents and rider
injuries, as well as helping to preserve and extend the lifetime of the Rascal Bike frame and its
components.
