Thank you for buying a Rascal bike, and we hope your kids will have fun riding it!
Before the first ride
If you buy a bike in a store, it will be assembled and ready to ride. However, before the first ride
make sure that:
▼ The saddle and handlebars are securely tightened
▼ The height of the saddle and handlebars are set to a suitable height and position for your
child, so that they can ride and stop safely
▼ Brakes work well and the brake levers are easy to reach
▼ Both wheels are firmly seated in the frame and rotate freely with the tyres correctly inflated
(see sidewall of tyre for recommended air pressure)
If you buy a bike on-line in our webshop, it is pre-assembled and checked by a service technician.
Before the first ride you only need to do few easy steps:
1. UNBOXING
Avoid shard objects when unpacking and removing the protection materials. You may damage the
paint or parts. The unassembled bike contains objects that pose choking hazard to children or
animals. Please keep them away.
2. INSTAL THE HANDLEBAR
Slide the handlebar shaft into the end of the fork with the front wheel. Make sure that the handlebar
stem is in contact with the frame. Turn the handlebar and make sure it is aligned with the front
wheel.
3. TIGHTEN THE STEM
Use 4mm Allen key to tighten the screws by turning them clockwise in cross-order to feel sufficient
resistance. Please see the Torque wrench in this manual.
WARNING! Failure to tighten the screws correctly might lead to serious injuries. Before the ride,
check the handlebar is fixed: (1) block the front wheel between your legs, (2) check by turning let and
right if handlebar is fixed on the fork crown
4. ADJUST THE SEAT
Adjust the seat with 5mm Allen key and ensure your child has both fee on the ground when sitting on
the balance bike. Knees need to be slightly bent.
5. TYRE PRESSURE
Check the tyre pressure and inflate the tires before every ride. You will find the recommended
pressure on the sidewall of the tire. Always use a bicycle pump.
IMPORTANT: Do not store your Rascal Trunk in moist environments
and dry the bike after riding in the rain!
