Cleaning and care of the hob

Please observe the following before carrying out cleaning and care
procedures.
Warning: Before performing any maintenance work on the hob, always
unplug the hob or switch off the power from the main switch.
• To prevent scratches and wearing, never use steam cleaners, wire or steel wool or
muriatic acid.
• Do not leave acidic or alkaline agents on the hob.
• Never use sharp objects to avoid damaging the seals between the hob surface and
ceramic-glass or between the frame and working top.
• Do not use cleaning agents containing sand, alkali, acid, chlorine; oven sprays;
detergents intended only for dishwashers.
• Do not use detergents to clean the product since these may cause permanent blueish
stains on the ceramic-glass surfaces.
• Use a damp cloth to clean the residues of detergents designed specially for ceramic-
glass surfaces on the cooking areas.
• After cleaning the product with a damp cloth, always dry it carefully to avoid lime scales.
• If foods containing sugar overflow/spill on the hob, immediately clean it with a suitable
sponge.
• Use a damp cloth for larger stains, and a suitable brush for persistent ones.
• Use a few drops of a detergent specially designed for ceramic-glass surfaces, and paper
towel or a damp cloth to clean the hob carefully.
• If you accidentally spill sugar or drop plastics/aluminium foil on the hot hob, unplug the
hob immediately.
• All grills, caps and flame rings can be cleaned with hot soapy water. They must be
cleaned carefully afterwards.
• Please make sure that the places where gas passes through are perfectly clean.
• The original colour of the grills where pots are placed might change in time due to heat.
DO NOT WASH THE GRILLS IN THE DISHWASHER.

Installation

Installation works for both gas and electricity are explained in the following sections. These
works must be performed by qualified persons as per the applicable law. Works performed by
inexperienced persons might pose risk. The manufacturer or the seller shall not accept any
