9. Troubleshooting

NOTE
If any error messages whatsoever appear,
switch off the device and switch it on again
after waiting for one minute.
If the error message appears again,
notify HSM customer service.
Shredded material container full
• The message "Container full" appears in the
display fi eld
• The status bar illuminates in red and the LED
on the operator control panel fl ashes in red.
The cutting unit is switched off after a brief
delay. To empty the shredded material
container, proceed as follows:
• Pull out the tray on the underside.
• Remove the container from the tray and empty
it.
• Insert the empty container into the tray.
• Push the tray in.
• Restart the cutting unit. Press the following
control buttons on the operator control panel:

Remove blockage

If there is an overload or blockage, the drive switch-
es automatically to reverse for a short time and
then goes forwards again. After the machine has
carried out this procedure twice, it either switches
off if there is still a blockage or continues running
automatically.
• Open the maintenance fl ap on the device.
• Slide the slider to the right.
• Manually remove the blockage by removing the
material.
• Close the maintenance fl ap.
• Restart the cutting unit. Press the following control
buttons on the operator control panel:

WARNING
Risk of cutting injuries from
the cutting unit
The cutting rollers of the cutting
unit can still cause injuries,
even if they are not running.
• Switch the system off before
troubleshooting.
• Wear protective gloves.
