1. General information
1.1. Introduction
The SATA air star F, hereinafter "half mask", provides the user with clean
air for breathing.
1.2. Target group
This operating manual is intended for
■ Painting and varnishing professionals.
■ Staff trained for paint spraying work in industrial and skilled crafts firms.
1.3. Accident prevention
As a basic rule, compliance is required with the respective national ac-
cident prevention regulations and correspondingly pertinent stipulations,
guidelines and instructions. Users of respirators are required to comply
with the prescribed medical examinations in terms of personal suitability,
together with the necessary intervals and scopes of corresponding indus-
trial health check-ups.
In Germany in particular, due consideration must be given to the pertinent
principles of the trade association with regard to industrial health check-
ups, and to the pertinent regulations pursuant to breathing protection
code of practice DGUV Rule 112-190. Where appropriate, amendments to
these stipulations made after the corresponding document has been print-
