9. INTENDED USE

• The EASYWAY 110 electromechanical motoreducer has been designed solely for use with sliding gates. Any
use other than the one described above is forbidden.
• This electromechanical motoreducer can be used only together with other Polargos products.
• The manufacturer does not accept any liability for damage caused by incorrect use. All the risks encumber
the fitter and will lead to voiding the warranty.
• The electromechanical motoreducer must not be installed or used in potentially explosive atmospheres.
• The metal gate needs to be installed in a manner consistent with the binding European standards and
directives.
• The electromechanical motoreducer may be used only when it is in perfect technical condition and only in
line with its intended use, with awareness of the conditions regarding safety and hazards, and also in line
with the installation and operation manual.
• Any dysfunctions that may constitute a hazard to safety must be eliminated immediately.
• The electromechanical motoreducer must not be used in environments exposed to flooding hazard.
• It is forbidden to use the motoreducer in environmental conditions characterised by presence of adverse
agents in the atmosphere (e.g. air salinity).

10. RECOMMENDATIONS AND WARNINGS RELATED TO SAFETY

10.1 General recommendations and warnings

• This manual has been prepared with the assumption that a user can install this device on their own. The
installation of the control unit requires practical and theoretical knowledge of mechanics, electrical
engineering and electronics.
• The fitters need to act in a way compliant with provision of the law. Every fitter also needs to always act in
reference to EN 12453 harmonised standards.
• The recommendations provided in this manual need to be adhered to during installing, connecting,
adjusting, testing and setting the control unit. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage or injuries
caused by not adhering to the recommendations included in this manual.
• The manufacturer accepts not liability in a situation where the fitter does not take care of the matters
mentioned above.
• This manual needs to be stored in a safe and easily accessible location so that it can be quickly consulted
whenever this is necessary.
• During installation, connection, test run and use of the control unit it is necessary to adhere to all the
binding provision withing the scope of accident prevention and retention of safety.
• For the purposes of safe and optimal functioning of the control unit, only original spare parts, accessories,
devices and fitting equipment should be used.
• Never introduce any changes in any device or component of the control unit. Such an action may result in
malfunctions and exclude the products from liability of the manufacturer.
• If any contact of liquids with the control unit takes place, it is necessary to disconnect the power supply
and contact the Manufacturer's Technical Assistance Department immediately. Such a situation may be very
hazardous to the user.
• In the event of long periods of inactivity, it is necessary to prevent any leakage of hazardous substances
from the battery.
• In the event of occurrence of malfunctions or problems that will not be possible to repair or solve with the
use of information included in this manual, it is necessary to contact the Manufacturer's Technical
Assistance Department.
• The manufacturer does not accept any liability for damage to the electromechanical automation caused by
not adhering to the instructions provided below.
