3.1 CENTRAL BUS CONNECTION
Connect the 4-wire BUS cable for connecting control panel, readers, keypads and expansion modules
to the +, A, B, – terminals.
A polarised BUS connector is also present for connecting the ER3000-RF wireless expansion interface
using the cable supplied with the interface, when it is installed inside a box.
Use a 4-core shielded multipolar cable with a cross-section area suited for the current drawn by the
connected devices to connect the BUS. The wire screens must be connected in the control panel or
supplementary power supply unit to the negative (-) terminal of the power supply.
The overall length of the BUS must be as short as possible. If a star connection is used to connect to the
peripheral devices, the sum of all the BUS stretches should not exceed 500 metres, while longer lengths
(up to 1000 metres) can be achieved using cascade connections

3.2 INPUT CONNECTION

The type of input is determined by the way in which the detectors are physically connected.
The type of each input is then specified in the programming. In this way, system that includes inputs of
different types can be created.

IMPORTANT
Each detector must be powered by the device that controls it (control panel, expansion module, keypad
or reader). Balancing resistors must be connected to the positive power supply of the same device.
Connections with different power supplies may cause false alarms.

3.3 OUTPUT CONNECTION

Two types of outputs are available: relay and electrical. Alarm devices (sirens and flashing lights), si-
gnalling devices (LEDs or buzzers) or other devices can be connected to the system outputs. The stand-
by state of each electrical output (positive present or absent) and of the relay output (normally energised
or normally de-energised) can be programmed.
