ACQUIRE THE FOLLOWING INSTRUMENTS AND PERSONAL PROTECTIONS: SAFETY GLASSES,

PROTECTIVE GLOVES, 1 PAIR OF SCISSORS, 1 RECEPTABLE FOR THE TRANSFER (CLEAN), 1

FUNNEL (CLEAN).CAREFULLY READ THE CHAPTER "SAFETY RULES AND REGULATIONS", WHI-

CH SPECIFIES THE RISKS INVOLVED WITH FILLING THE ELEMENTS WITH THE SULPHURIC ACID

SOLUTION. (Ú see chapter 7)

Check if the battery contains the sulphuric acid solution and if it is charged. If not, proceed as follows:

1. Use the scissors to cut off the end of the plastic container holding the sulphuric acid solution and pour it

into the transfer container.

2. Remove the cap to the chambers of the battery elements. With the aid of the funnel, pour in the solu-

tion until it reaches the level shown on the outside of the battery.

3. Wait at least 12 hours leaving the battery inactive and then, if necessary, top up the solution bringing

the levels, of the various elements to the same conditions.

4. Charge the battery. Carefully read, in the chapter 7 "Safety Standard", the risks involved in charging or

discharging the battery.

STARTING THE MACHINE, IT IS INDISPENSABLE TO HAVE READ THE PREVIOUS CHAPTERS

SPECIFIC SEQUENCE FOR MODELS WITH ENDOTHERMIC ENGINES

REFER TO THE HONDA MANUAL ENCLOSED BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE.

u STARTUP:

1. With cold engine, pull out the START = AIR CLOSED spring-loaded lever;

2. Move the throttle lever upwards to max. acceleration;

3. Pull the starter rope, without too much force, but rather quickly;

4. When the engine has started up, allow it to run for a few seconds, then gradually move the START

spring-loaded lever to the AIR OPENED = FULLY INSIDE position;

5. Adjust the RPM almost to the MAX position to get a good performance and start working.

u ENGINE STOP:

1. Move the throttle lever to the MIN position, allow the engine to run for 30 to 40 seconds, then lower it

completely, the engine will stop.

2. Once stopped, raise the throttle lever a little.

u START:

Turn the key in the clockwise direction Detail 3 Fig. 6.

u STOP:

Turn the key in the anticlockwise direction Detail 3 fig. 6.
