Important installation information for the front flush
transmitters
NOTICE
Damage to the membrane
The membrane on the front flush transmitter is very
sensitive to mechanical stresses.
► Do not touch the membrane!
– Wait until shortly before installation to remove the
packaging and cover cap, to ensure that the
membrane is not damaged. Retain the cover cap.
– After disassembly immediately replace the cover cap
over the membrane.
– When installing the transmitter do not use any force,
since this could damage the device and equipment.
– Attach clamp fittings using a suitable connecting
element (e.g. half-ring or snap ring connection) per
manufacturer specifications.

Installation
Check before installation:
– Is a seal provided which is appropriate to the measured
material and the measurement pressure?
– Does the sealing surface of the receiving part have a
flawless surface?
– Is any residue present on this surface?
– Is the O-ring seated and in perfect condition in the
provided groove (for transmitters with external thread
and process adapters)?
For pressure transmitters with external threads do not use
any additional sealing material such as tow, hemp or Teflon
tape!
► Tighten the device by hand in the holding threads. Use
an appropriate open-end wrench to tighten and
observe the following tightening torques:
