Mounting and wiring instructions / sWave.NET Access Point
English
The radio signal is attenuated on the way from the transmitter to the
receiver. It is also affected by obstacles. The degree of attenuation
depends on the material of the obstacle.
The following tables serve as a guide.
Penetration of radio waves:
Material
Wood, gypsum, uncoated glass
Brick stone, press boards
Armoured concrete
Metal, aluminium laminated, water
Typical wireless ranges:
Environment
Free field (SW868/915/917)
Free field (SW922)
Indoors (SW868/915/917)
Indoors (SW922)
To obtain the maximum range: use the specified antennas. With other
antennas, the maximum range may differ.
Initial operation
After connecting the supply voltage, the mode LED lights up perma-
nently. The Access Point is initialised in this state. Shortly after this,
the mode LED starts to blink slowly. This indicates the Access Point
to be ready for use. As soon as the Access Point is connected to a
server, the mode LED flashes in short intervals.

CAUTION
If the electrical load is incorrect, the surface of the
appliance may heat up. Danger of burns! Observe
the permissible electrical load (see data sheet).
Radio LED
The Radio LED lights up shortly in case of radio communication. It
indicates the Access Point communicating by radio with a system
participant that is contained in the node list received from
the server.

Web interface
The Access Point has an integrated web page for configuring the
network settings and a log window to display active
wireless switches.
To access the Web page, make sure that the configuration PC and
the Access Point are in the same subnet.
For initial operation, use a point-to-point connection with both par-
ticipants in the same IP address range of 192.168.3.xxx.
Caution! Access Point and PC must not have the same IP address!
To retrieve the Web page, type in the Access Point's IP address (de-
fault: http://192.168.3.64/) in the browser.
The Web interface is secured to prevent unauthorised use (default
login: steute/steute).
The password can be changed (see paragraph »Configuration«).
