The batteries are dead or low-po-
wered and need to be replaced
The On/Off switch is set to off
The tension is too tight or too
loose.
The thread may have got caught
in the protective cover
The presser foot is not lowered
properly and not resting on the
fabric
The fabric is too thick
Incorrectly threaded machine
Stitches are not locked securely
Thread catches in the lower part
of the sewing machine
CAUSE
Les piles sont usées ou faibles et
doivent être remplacées

La tension est trop serrée ou trop

SOLUTION(S)
Replace the batteries, follow the polarity (+/-)
markings inside the battery compartment
Ensure the On/Off switch is set to On
Adjust the tension dial follow the instruc-
tions as shown in diagram
Ensure the thread goes through the "U" sha-
pe hole in the front of the protective cover
Lower the presser foot onto the fabric
Always select lighter fabrics when making
other projects
Redo the threading, follow the instructions as
shown in Diagram
Refer to Finishing the Stitches as shown in
Diagram

Pull a length of thread through the tension
dial to release the tension on the needle

) and turn the handwheel in a
clockwise direction until the fabric or thread
can be removed from the machine
SOLUTION(S)
Remplacer les piles en respectant les repères
de polarité (+/-) indiqués dans le comparti-
ment à piles
S'assurer que l'interrupteur Marche/Arrêt est
réglé sur Marche
Régler la molette de tension en suivant les in-
structions, comme illustré dans le schéma
