The selected installation location must have a suitable connection to the electrical mains (230 V /
50 Hz) with appropriate fuse (16 A).
After the machine has been installed at the intended location, it must be aligned.

The machine is pre-assembled, the parts removed for transport must be assembled according to
the following instructions and the connection to mains have to be made.

17.2.1

Aligning / leveling the lathe

After installation and commissioning, it is recommended to check the alignment and levelling of
the machine before using it for the first time. In order to ensure working accuracy, the alignment
and levelling should be repeated at regular intervals.

Assembly handles:
• Screw the handles of clamping lever tool post and
tailstock sleeve into the threads.
Screw the handles for handwheels of longitudinal
•
slide and cross slide into the threads.
Assembly jaw chuck guard:
• Fix the jaw chuck guard (1) with screws, nuts and
washers (2) on the bracket (3).
Assembly tool post guard:
Insert the tool post guard (1) into the bracket (2)
•
and fix it in place by turning it.
To level the machine, use a precision spirit level (according to DIN
877) with an accuracy of 0.02 mm to 1000 mm. This allows the
horizontal position of the machine axis to be checked with
sufficient accuracy in both the longitudinal and transverse
directions.
For anchored installation: Do not tighten the anchor bolt nuts
carefully and evenly until three to four days after the cement has
cured.
Repeat the horizontal check a few days after initial start-up and
every six months thereafter.
