Warning - Batteries
• When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and -
markings) and insert the batteries accordingly. Failure to do
so could result in the batteries leaking or exploding.
• Only use batteries (or rechargeable batteries) that match the
speci ed type.
• Before you insert the batteries, clean the battery contacts and
the polarity contacts.
• Do not allow children to change batteries without supervision.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different
types or from different manufacturers.
• Remove the batteries from products that are not being used
for an extended period (unless these are being kept ready for
an emergency). Do not short-circuit batteries.
• Do not charge batteries.
• Do not burn batteries.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow
them to enter the environment. They can contain toxic,
environmentally harmful heavy metals.
• Remove spent batteries from the product and dispose of them
without delay.
• Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures
and at extremely low atmospheric pressures (such as at high
altitudes).
4. Commissioning
Note
Please remember, during commissioning, to always insert the
batteries into the measuring station rst and then into the
base station.

4.1 Inserting the batteries

Measuring station
• Open the battery compartment (28) and insert two AA Mignon
batteries observing the correct polarity.
• Then close the battery compartment cover.
Base station
• Remove the protective lm from the display.
• Open the battery compartment (25) and insert three AAA Micro
batteries observing the correct polarity.
• Then close the battery compartment cover.

4.2 Changing batteries

Measuring station
• If the
battery warning symbol (3) appears next to the
outdoor humidity, replace the 2 AA batteries in the measuring
station with two new batteries.
• Open the battery compartment (28), remove and dispose of the
spent batteries and insert two new AA batteries, observing the
correct polarity. Then close the battery compartment cover.
Base station
• If the
battery warning symbol (14) appears next to the
indoor humidity, replace the 3 AAA batteries in the base station
with three new batteries.
• Open the battery compartment (25), dispose of the spent
batteries and insert three new AAA batteries, observing the
correct polarity. Then close the battery compartment cover.
Note
• Be aware that, after every battery change on the measuring
station or base station, the stations will need to be
resynchronised.
• To do this, remove the batteries from the other station and
re-insert them or change them completely if required.
5. Installation
Note - Installation
• We recommend initially positioning the base station and
measuring station at the preferred setup locations without
installing them and carrying out all the settings - as described
in 6. Operation - rst.
• Do not install the station(s) until the settings are correct and
the radio connection is stable.
Note
• The range of the radio transmission between the measuring
station and the base station is up to 30m in unobstructed
areas.
• Before installing, make sure that the radio transmission is
not in uenced by interfering signals or obstacles such as
buildings, trees, vehicles, high-voltage power lines, etc.
• Before nal installation, make sure that there is su cient
reception between the desired installation locations.
• When installing the measuring station, take care to ensure
this is positioned so that it is protected from direct sunlight
and rain.
• The international standard height for measuring air
temperature is 1.25 m (4 ft) above ground.
