Applications
Unpressurized storage heaters (displacement water
heaters)
Pressure
If greater than 5 bar, fit pressure reducer.
The fitting is provided with a flow regulating valve to
protect the storage heater from excess pressure.
Temperature
Max. hot water temperature
Installation
Flush out cold water pipes thoroughly.
Prepare sink unit
Refer to the dimensional drawings on fold-out page I.
Fit mixer on sink
For mounting purposes, you will need only a 13mm socket
spanner, see Fig. [1].
Note:
If the support plate (C) is omitted, the clamping length can
be increased, see Fig. [1].
Connect sink mixer, see Figs. [1] and [2].
Water connection:
A = Cold-water pipe from service valve
B = Pipes connecting to storage heater
• With an open-ended spanner 19mm screw mount the
pressure hose marked in blue (arrow pointing upwards)
to the service valve.
• With an open-ended spanner 19mm screw mount the
pressure hose in blue (arrow pointing downwards) to
the storage heater inlet connection.
• With an open-ended spanner 19mm screw mount the
pressure hose marked in red (arrow pointing upwards)
to the storage heater outlet.
Open service valve.
Filling the storage heater:
Set lever open on hot water side, wait until hot
water flows out of the spout, then switch on the appliance.
Important note!
Volume of water in storage heater will expand as it is
heated.
Expansion water must drip out of the mixer spout.
This process is necessary and normal.
The spout must not be fitted with any downstream
resistances in the form of aerators and components
reducing flow (e.g. restrictors) as these will result in
damage to the storage heater.
Check function of mixer
Pull lever
Press lever down
Turn lever right
Turn lever left
Check connections for leaks.
Flow rate limiter
This mixer is fitted with a flow rate limiter, permitting an
infinitely individual variable reduction in the flow rate.
The highest possible flow rate is set by the factory before
despatch.
80 °C
For commissioning see "replacing the cartridge"
point 1 to 4, Fig. [3] to [5].
Maintenance
Inspect and clean all parts, replace as necessary and
grease with special grease (order no. 18 012).
Shut off cold and hot water supply!
I. Replacing the cartridge

cartridge (K).
6. Change complete cartridge (K).
Assemble in reserve order.
Make sure that the cartridge seals engage in the
grooves on the housing.
Fit screws (J) and tighten evenly and alternately.
II. Flow regulating valve, see Fig. [4].
1. Proceed in the same way as when carrying out
cartridge maintenance points 1 - 5.
2. With a 6mm allen key, unscrew and remove the
threaded insert with integral flow limiter (L).
Assemble in reserve order.
III.Cleaning the flow straightener (46 162),
see fold-out page II.
