• Never use rusted or dented gas bottles or bottles
with a damaged valve.
• Gas bottles must always be used standing; never
lay them down.
• Never try to take apart the gas valve or the pres-
sure regulator.
• Never subject the gas hose to direct sunlight or let
it come in contact with heated bottles.
• In case of malfunctions, shut off the regulator
immediately and wait until the fire is out.
Maintenance
• Always shut off the gas bottle regulator before
conducting any work on the device.
• Check all gas line connections to ensure they do
not leak. Examine the gas hose for cracks or dam-
age before each use. Replace it if necessary.
• Only those maintenance and fault elimination
tasks described here may be carried out. Any
other tasks must be completed by a specialist.
• Only use original replacement parts. Only these
replacement parts are designed and suitable for
the device. Other replacement parts will not only
lead to an invalidation of the warranty, they may
also endanger you and your environment.
Device-specific safety instructions
• Only use the unit outside, never in closed rooms.
• Never use the unit under a porch roof.
• Never use the device in hollows in which leaked
gas may collect.
• Safe operation of the device is only ensured when
it is set up on a solid, even surface capable of car-
rying the load.
• Check all gas connections for correct sealing.
Check the gas hose for tears or damage before
each use. If necessary, replace.
• Never use charcoal or other solid fuels in this
device.
• Keep the power cable and gas hose away from
heated surfaces.
• Before use, set up the unit on a safe, even loca-
tion with as much wind-protection as possible.
• Children and animals may not be allowed in the
vicinity of the device unless supervised. Be par-
ticularly careful when igniting!
• This device becomes very hot and may not be
moved when in use.
• After operation, do not leave the still hot device
unattended. Risk of injury and fire!
• A gas fireplace may never be put out using water.
• Store liquid gas tanks in well ventilated areas
above the ground.
• The device must be located on an even and firm
surface.
• The gas fireplace may not be set up in living quar-
ters, cellars, offices or other similar rooms.
• The set-up location must have a volume of 20 m³
for each 1 kW of installed nominal heat load of the
gas fireplace and it must also be well ventilated
(covered patio, beer tent, or similar).
• During operation, a safe distance must be main-
tained to flammable materials and substances.
The distance in the direction of radiation between
the radiating surface and flammable substances
may not be below 2 m. The remaining distances
to flammable substances may not be below 1 m.
• In the event of strong winds, secure the unit to
prevent it from toppling or switch it off.
• Before changing the location of the gas fireplace,
switch it off and remove the gas tank from the tank
container.
• The ventilation slots of the container sleeve for
the gas tank may not be covered over. Any gas
released would otherwise collect in the container
thus creating a risk of explosion.
• Never move the unit when it is in operation (risk of
fire/burns).
• When the unit is in operation, the gas tank must
always be located in the container sleeve
designed for the purpose.
• The gas hose is to be checked by a specialist at
intervals of 5 years.
• In the event of damage to the gas hose, replace
with a gas hose of the same quality and length.
• Check the seal of all connections each time your
fill up the liquid gas tank.
• Do not store or use petrol or other flammable
vapours or liquids in the vicinity of the gas fire-
place.
• Liquid gas tanks that are not in use may not be
stored in the vicinity the gas fireplace.
• Children and adults must be aware that the sur-
face heats up considerably and that they should
thus maintain a safe distance to prevent clothing
from burning or catching fire.
• Small children should be watched carefully when
they are close to the gas fireplace.
• Clothing or other flammable material may not be
placed over the gas fireplace or hung up in the
vicinity of the gas fireplace.
• Never use the gas fireplace in the rain. The glass
tube may break when coming into contact with
water. Always SWITCH the gas fireplace OFF
when it starts raining.
• When in use, never spray liquids onto the glass
tube.
• The glass tube becomes very hot during opera-
tion. Never attempt to touch them and keep chil-
dren away from the gas fireplace.
• Pay attention to ensure that the gas fireplace is
always horizontal and situated securely on a firm
surface. The glass pipe may break if the gas fire-
place falls over.
• Never use the gas fireplace when the glass tube
is damaged.
