-
Keep the floor area around the machine
level, well maintained and free of loose ma-
terials e.g. chips and cut-offs.
-
Ensure that any spacers and spindle rings
used are suitable for the purpose as stated
by the manufacturer.
-
Refrain from removing any cut-offs or other
parts of the workpiece from the cutting area
whilst the machine is running.
-
Ensure the movable guard operates freely
with out any jamming.
-
Never cut pieces too small to be held se-
curely against the straight guide. Leave
enough space for the hand to be a safe dis-
tance from the blade.
-
Regularly check the blade-securing bolt.
-
Do not run the machine with any part of the
casing missing or damaged.
-
Do not start the saw when the blade is in-
serted into the workpiece.
-
Before cutting let the saw blade run freely
for a few seconds. If it makes an unfamiliar
sound or vibration switch it off immediately
and disconnect from the power supply.
-
Do not forget to remove any adjustment
keys, spanner and wrenches before switch-
ing on the tool.
-
Always ensure the safety guard is in work-
ing order before use. Should the guard not
close quickly over the saw blade, do not use
the tool.
-
Do not tie or wedge open the safety guard.
-
Do not cut into screws or nails. Inspect
workpiece for nails and screws before use.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS ON
RISKS DUE TO VIBRATION
a) The declared vibration data represents
the main applications of the tool, but
different uses of the tool or poor main-
tenance can result in different vibration
data. This may significantly increase the
vibration level over the total working period.
b) Additional safety measure shall be taken
to protect the user from effects of vibra-
tion. Maintain the tool and its accessories,
keep hands warm and organize work pat-
terns and periods.

SAFETY WARNING FOR THE LASER
a) Do not stare directly at the laser beam. A
hazard may exist if you deliberately stare
into the beam.
b) The laser shall be used and maintained in
accordance with the manufacturer's in-
structions.
c) Never aim the beam at any person or an ob-
ject other than the work piece.
d) The laser beam shall not be deliberately
aimed at another person and shall be pre-
vented from being directed towards the eye
of a person for longer than 0.25 seconds.
e) Always ensure the laser beam is aimed at
a sturdy work piece without reflective sur-
faces, e.g wood or rough coated surfaces
are acceptable. Bright shiny reflective sheet
steel or similar is not suitable for laser appli-
cations as the reflective surface may direct
the laser beam back at the operator.
f) Do not change the laser device with a differ-
ent type. Repairs must be carried out by the
manufacturer or an authorized agent.
g) CAUTION: Use of controls or adjustments
other than those specified herein may result
in hazardous radiation exposure.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY WARNING FOR
CLASS 2 LASER
The laser device fitted to this tool is CLASS 2
with a maximum radiation of 1  mW and
650 nm wavelength.
CLASS 2 LASER RADIATION, DO NOT STARE
INTO THE BEAM.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR BAT-
TERY
Never use a damaged battery.
1.
Do not open the battery. There is a
2.
risk of a short-circuit.
Protect the battery from heat, e.g.
3.
from continuous exposure to sun-
light, fire, water and humidity. There
is a risk of explosion.
In case of damage and improper
4.
use of the battery, vapours may be
emitted. Ventilate the area and seek
medical help in case of complaints.
The vapours can irritate the respira-
tory system.
Under abusive conditions, liquid
5.
may be ejected from the battery;
avoid contact. If contact acciden-
tally occurs, flush with water. If liq-
uid contacts eyes, additionally seek
medical help. Liquid ejected from
the battery may cause irritation or
burns.
Use only original batteries with the
6.
voltage indicated on the rating plate
of your electric power tool. If other
batteries are used, e.g. imitations,
reconditioned batteries or third-
party products, there is a risk of
injuries as well as damage caused
by exploding batteries.
The battery voltage must match the
7.
battery charging voltage of the bat-
tery charger. Otherwise there is a
risk of fire and explosion.
Recharge only with the charger
8.
specified by the manufacturer. A
charger that is suitable for one type
of battery pack may create a risk of
fire when used with another battery
pack.
Pointed objects, such as nails or
9.
screwdrivers, or external forces
may damage the battery. This may
cause an internal short-circuit and
the battery to burn, smoke, explode
or overheat.
When not in use, keep the battery
10.
away from paper-clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws, or other small metal
objects, that can cause a short-cir-
cuit at the charging contacts.
Used batteries must be disposed of
11.
safely and correctly.
