Attaching the Saw Blade
1 To attach the saw blade, insert the bent-out front
connecting piece 11 onto the hook 9.
Then swing the saw blade in the direction of the

arrow and press the tab 12 onto the locking
spring 10 until it latches.

Before switching on, slide the saw blade back and
forth so that it latches onto the drive pin 2.
Only then remove the saw teeth protector 8.
To change the saw blade, place on the saw teeth
protector 8 and press the red SDS button 6. This
causes the tab 12 to spring out of the locking spring.
Remove the saw blade to the rear.
Reversing the Cut-Off Saw Blade
The cut-off saw blade
depending on the sawing direction or for a preferred
holding position of the machine (right- or left-hander)
(see Figure on the fold-out page).

Reversing the Flush Saw Blade
The flush saw blade 13 can be attached to the
machine depending on the desired sawing direction
(see Figure on the fold-out page).

Putting into Operation

Always use the correct supply voltage!
The voltage of the power source must agree with the
value given on the nameplate of the machine.
Machines designated for 230 V can also be operated
with 220 V.
Switching On/Off
Switching on: Slide the on/off switch 3 to the front
and press down at the front to latch.
Switching off: Press the rear of the on/off switch 3,
the switch springs back to the off
position.
Stroke Rate Selection (PFS 280 E Set)
The stroke rate can be set in steps, also while working,
with the stroke rate selector 4.

The optimum stroke rate depends on the material and
must be determined by trials in each case.
For sawing in the other
direction, simply rotate
the flush saw blade in the
direction of the arrow and
attach as described
above.
