6. MENU OPERATION
The menu provides access to all functions and settings of the DAB
Easy.
The menu is navigated by using the MENU buttons,
<Tune, Tune> and Select. The menu is divided into submenus and
contains different menu items or activatable functions depending on
the mode (DAB+ or FM).
To open the menu, simply hold down the Menu button briefly. To
switch to submenus, first press the <Tune or Tune> buttons to
display a submenu and then press the Select button to display the
submenu.
An asterisk (*) indicates the current selection.
Close menu:
Press the Menu button several times (depending on which
>
submenu you are in) until the current radio programme is dis-
played again. Settings are saved by pressing the Select button.
If the Menu button is pressed instead, the settings are not adopted
and saved (the Menu button assumes the function of a 'Back' button
here). Functions and buttons to be pressed are shown in bold in this
instructions manual. Display indications in [square brackets]. Some
text displays (e.g. menu entries, channel information) may be too
long for the display. These are then displayed as scrolling text after
a brief time.
7. The DAB+ (DIGITAL RADIO) -FUNCTION
7.1 What is DAB+?
DAB+ is a new digital format that lets you hear crystal clear sound
without any static. Unlike conventional analogue radio stations,
DAB+ broadcasts several stations on the same frequency. This is
called Ensemble or Multiplex. An ensemble consists of the radio sta-
tion as well as several service components or data services, which
are broadcast individually by the radio stations. Find out more at
www.dabplus.de or www.dabplus.ch for example.
