6. Frequently asked questions
Can I keep my foot on the pedal when standing still
(at traffic lights, for example)?
That's no problem, because the motor provides assistance
only when the pedals are turning (forwards).
Can I also use my Innergy in the rain?
Yes, the Innergy parts are all splash-proof and will always
work in rainy weather. However, the system must not be
submerged in any liquid or cleaned with a high pressure
cleaner. So never spray your bike clean with a high pressure
cleaner!
Can I park my bike without the display in the rain/snow?
Yes - since all Innergy parts are splash proof, this is not a
problem.
How often does my bike need to be serviced by
the Gazelle dealer?
Innergy parts need no more servicing than the other
bike parts. The frequency depends on use.
How long will the battery last?
If your battery is younger than three years and has not been
discharged more than 600 times, we guarantee your battery
will be charged at least 80% each time.
Does my battery need to be on the charger when not
in use?
No, it doesn't. The battery can be stored in a dry place or
can be left in the bike.
How long does my battery take to charge?
The total charging time for your battery depends on which
battery you purchased. The charging times are as follows:
Bronze - 5 hours, Silver - 7 hours, Gold - 9 hours. If you have
purchased a Gazelle fast-charger, these times are <2 hours,
2 hours and 3 hours respectively. Of course you can also
partially charge your battery (when lunching out, for
example), in order to increase the distance you can reach
with assistance. Always follow the charging instructions.
