8. Make sure that the height of the front wheels is set
correctly for the operation. Refer to
height of the front wheels on page 10 .
9. Make sure that the tools do not hit the ground.
a) Set the lift lever in the up position.
b) Turn the depth adjustment wheel clockwise.
10. Connect a dust extractor to the product. Refer to
connect a dust extractor on page 11 .
11. Connect the product to a power source. Refer to
connect the product to a power source on page 11 .
12. Make sure that the height of the brushes below the
drum housing is correct for the operation depth. If it
is necessary, loosen the nuts, adjust the height and
tighten the nuts.
To install the scarifying drum
1. Remove the support plate.
2. Remove the screws and washers from the side
cover.

3. Install the screws with washers in the adjacent holes.

4. Turn the screws to push the side cover off.
5. Install the scarifying drum on the axle.
Note:
When the side cover is removed, the axle
hangs loose.
