SOSTITUZIONE FLUIDO
Il fluido freni deve essere controllato e sostituito in accordo con la Tabella di Manutenzione o nel caso fosse stato
contaminato da sporcizia o acqua. Non sostituire il fluido sotto la pioggia o con vento intenso.
AVVERTENZA!
* Usare solamente fluido freni prelevato da contenitore sigillato (DOT 4). Non usare mai fluido già utilizzato.
* Non permettere che agenti contaminanti quali sporcizia, acqua etc. entrino nel serbatoio.
* Per evitare rischi di contaminazioni del fluido, non lasciare il serbatoio olio
* Maneggiare con cura il fluido per non danneggiare le parti verniciate.
* Non mischiare due tipi differenti di fluido. Ciò provocherebbe l'abbassamento del punto di ebollizione e
potrebbe portare all'inefficienza del freno o al deterioramento delle parti in gomma .
Per effettuare la sostituzione, procedere nel modo seguente:
- Togliere il cappuccio in gomma sulla valvola di spurgo (1) o (1A).
- Applicare un tubetto trasparente in plastica sulla valvola di spurgo della pinza ed inserire l'altra
estremità del tubetto in un contenitore.
- Togliere il coperchio (2) o (2A) del serbatoio fluido ed il soffietto in gomma.
- Allentare la valvola di spurgo sulla pinza.
- Pompare con la leva freno (3) o il pedale freno (3A) in modo da evacuare completamente il fluido.
- Chiudere la valvola di spurgo e riempire il serbatoio con fluido fresco.
- Aprire la valvola di spurgo, azionare la leva o il pedale, chiudere la valvola con leva o pedale anco-
ra premuti rilasciando velocemente questi ultimi.
- Ripetere questa operazione sino a quando l'impianto è completamente pieno ed il fluido chiaro ini-
zia a uscire dal tubo di plastica: a questo punto chiudere la valvola di spurgo.
FLUID CHANGE
The brake fluid should be checked and changed in accordance with the Periodic Maintenance Chart or whene-
ver it is contaminated with dirt or water. Don't change the fluid in the rain or when a strong wind is blowing.
CAUTION!
* Use only brake fluid from a sealed container (DOT 4). Never use old brake fluid.
* Never allow contaminants (dirt, water, etc.) to enter the brake fluid reservoir.
* Don't leave the reservoir cap off any length of time to avoid moisture contamination of the fluid.
* Handle brake fluid with care because it can damage paint.
* Don't mix two types of fluid for use in the brake. This lowers the brake fluid boiling point and could cause the
brake to be ineffective. It may also cause the rubber brake part to deteriorate.
To replace the fluid, proceed as follows:
- Remove the rubber cap on the bleeding valve (1) or (1A).
- Attach a clear plastic hose to the bleeding valve on the brake caliper and turn the other end of the hose
into a container.
- Remove fluid reservoir cap (2) or (2A) and the rubber.
- Loosen bleeding valve on the brake caliper.
- Pump with brake lever (3) or brake pedal (3A) in order to push brake fluid out of line.
- Close the bleeding valve and fill the reservoir with fresh brake fluid.
- Open the bleeding valve, apply the brake using the brake lever or pedal, close the bleeding valve with
the brake lever or pedal applied and then quickly release the lever or pedal.
- Repeat this operation until the brake line is filled and clear fluid starts coming out of the plastic hose: now
close the bleeding valve.
