5. Safety information

Read the operating instructions carefully and observe in particular the safety instructions. If you do not follow
the safety information and information on proper handling in these operating instructions, we will assume
no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/
guarantee.
Only use the appliance for its intended purpose. Misuse can lead to
injury.
Do not allow children to use, clean or service this appliance. Keep the
appliance and its power cord away from children. Children must not
play with this appliance.
This appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
If the power cord of the appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer or its customer service, or by a competent person in
order to avoid hazards.
Never leave the power cord hanging over the edge of a table and keep
it away from sharp edges or hot parts.
The appliance, the power cord and the power plug must not be
immersed in water for cleaning or any other purposes.
Always unplug the appliance from the mains supply and let it cool
down before cleaning. The steam tube, the filter holder, the drip grid
and the drip tray get very hot during operation and should be allowed
sufficient time to cool down before they can be handled. Burn hazard!
Hot steam comes out from the steam tube and the steam outlet during
operation. Risk of scalding!
The filter holder must not be unlocked or removed while coffee is
being prepared.
