Remove the screws 11 and remove the angle
guide 10, or a cutting depth of 22 mm cannot be
reached. In this case fasten the auxiliary han-
dle 14 as shown in figure E.
Loosen the Allen screw 23 and turn the cutter
with aid of the adjusting screw 21 to the left as
far as it will go.
Set the shadow gap width (b) and the cutting
depth. Place the machine on the ceiling as
shown in Fig. E.
Switch on the motor.
Slowly lower the cutting disc. Uniformly cut the
shadow gap to the end. Swing up the cutter,
then switch off the motor and remove the ma-
chine.
When the wall along which the machine is guid-
ed is very rough or uneven, it is advantageous to
cut the shadow gap with to aid of a tacked on
strip.
Grooved Joints
Lengthways Groove
Unscrew the angle guide 10.
Caution: When cutting grooves the auxiliary
handle 14 must be fastened in the thread 20.
The machine can be yanked from the user's
hand if it is plunged too quickly.
Set required cutting depth.
Place the machine on the workpiece as shown in
figure F.
Switch on the motor.
Lead the machine with the handle 14 and slowly
lower the cutter by means of the motor hous-
ing 1. Cut the groove evenly.
Lift the cutter, then switch off the motor and re-
move the machine from the workpiece.
For grooves of more than 4 mm
If the width of the groove is more than 4 mm, re-
set the adjusting screw 21 and repeat the cut.
Biscuit joints
Remove the parallel guide 2.
Mount the angle guide 10 and set it to 90°.
Select the cutting depth as described in the cor-
responding section.
Clamp small workpieces to the workbench.
In order to make so-called biscuit joints, use a
4 mm cutting disk (accessory); mark the joint
centrally and set the cutting depth with the
scale 6.
Setting the cutter axially:
Set the cutter with aid of the adjusting screw 21
and adjusting dial 22 according to the thickness
of the board to be cut.
Fasten the Allen screw 23.
If the board has a thickness of 13 up to 22 mm
the groove is cut centrally. Boards with a thick-
ness larger than 22 mm are cut with the maxi-
mum setting or joint with two biscuits on top of
each other.
Carry out test cuts.
Place the machine on the workpiece according
to the cutting mark 3, switch on the motor and
slowly lower the cutter by means of the motor
housing 1 as far as it will go.
Angle joints
For settings see biscuit joints.
Place the machine and the angle guide 10 to the
slope (see figure D, pos. 21-24).
