To tilt the canopy, proceed as follows (see also fig. 4-4):
•
Pull the lever above handle down as shown, and hold it in this position – the locking
mechanism is released (1).
•
Move the lever in the desired direction (2). To reduce the force required on the hand
lever, pull the canopy by one of the braces when adjusting its angle.
•
At the desired angle, return the lever to its initial position to lock the canopy at that angle
(3).

Closing parasol
Closing parasol
•
If required, move the parasol from tilted to horizontal position.
•
Turn the crank counter-clockwise to close the parasol.
•
While closing the parasol, release the lever at the handle and slide it carefully down along
the mast.
•
Secure the closed parasol with the strap.
➢ When the canopy is tilted, the surface exposed to wind and
gusts is increased significantly. In windy conditions, always
close the parasol and secure it with the strap.
➢ If the canopy is tilted, winds and gust can lead to damage to
the parasol structure and might impair its stability. There is
thus a risk of injury.
The tilting ensures optimum shading during the entire day without
having to reposition the parasol.
Close the parasol with special caution
➢ Do close the parasol in windy conditions.
➢ Ensure that there are no obstacles (walls, table, trees, etc.)
within the closing range of the parasol.
If the parasol is not used for a prolonged period of time, for
instance during rainy weather, we recommend protecting it with
the cover provided.
