Safety instructions

2.1.1

General safety instructions

The parasol provides protection against direct UV radiation. For full sun protection that includes
protection from indirect UV radiation, you should always use a suitable sunscreen product.
If you expect strong wind, a thunderstorm, rain or snow, close the parasol and secure it (strap,
cover). Otherwise, there is a risk of damage to the product. When open, the parasol is exposed
to wind.
Never leave the parasol unattended when open.
Do not leave children unsupervised near the parasol.
The parasol is not suitable for use on roof terraces or at other locations exposed to strong wind
and gusts!
This parasol is indented for outdoor and private use only.
Never operate a barbeque (gas, charcoal or electric) or light a fire under or next to the parasol
– risk of fire. The parasol might be damaged by flying sparks.
Never use heaters (gas or infrared) under the parasol – risk of fire.
Persons must never lift loads of more 23 kg on their own. The parasol weighs approx. 30 kg.
Each paving slab weighs at least 25 kg. To lift and carry the parasol or a paving slab, always
work in teams of two, or use suitable lifting gear. Otherwise, you might suffer damage to your
health (e.g. back strain, injury from falling loads).
Children and persons whose physical, sensory or intellectual capacity is impaired are not
permitted to assemble or operate the parasol,
as their impairment or lack of knowledge and experience puts them at an increased risk of injury.
The parasol may be used by persons with a physical, sensory or intellectual disability or by
persons with little knowledge or experience, as long as they are supervised and have been
instructed in the proper use of the parasol and the risks associated with the product.
Never allow children to play with the product. Keep pets away from the parasol, as they might
interfere with the product and impair its stability.
Never leave the parasol unattended. Keep the packaging of the parasol away from children, as
the plastic foil can cause suffocation.
