7. Setup and adjustments

General note:
Setup and adjustment work may only be carried out after
the machine is protected against accidental starting by
pulling the mains plug.
Make sure all levers and locking handles are tightened
before operating the lathe.

7.1 Changing spindle speed

Disconnect the machine from the power source
(unplug) !
Loosen the locking screw and open the lower pulley cover.
Loosen the locking screw and open the upper pulley cover.

Take tension off the belt. Pull handle (F, Fig 22) and lift the
lever (G).
You can now position the belt in the desired speed.
Make sure belt is properly seated in both pulleys.
Push lever (G) down to tighten the belt.
Close and lock the pulley covers.
WARNING
Keep pulley covers closed during operation.
