3.2.3 Sammelspeisung
Werden mehrere Mikrophone betrieben, so kónnen
diese Ober eine tesle Verdrahtung aus einem Gerat
fur Sam m elspeisung versorgt w erden (siehe auch
N eumann D ruckschrift 10000 817.. „Sam m elspei
sung"):

B a tte rie sp e isu n g
Steht keine Netzspannung zur Verfugung, kann die
Speisung mit einem der Gerate BS 48 i (fur ein Mi-
krophon) Oder BS 48 i-2 (fur zwei Mikrophone) erfol-
gen. Beide Gerate liefern 48 V ± 1 V. maximal je 6
mA. und werden jeweils von einer 9 Volt-Blockbatte-
rie Typ IEC 6 F 22 gespeist.
Ein M ikrophon der Serie fet 100 kann mit einem
BS 48 i ca. 20 Stunden betrieben werden (siehe auch
Neumann-Druckschrift 10000821.. ..48 V-Phantom-
speisegerate").
Die Zuordnung der Mikrophonanschlusse und die Po-
laritat der M odulationsadern ist am A usgang der
Speisegerate die gleiche wie am Mikrophon.
3.4
Betrieb an unsymmetrischen Oder mitten-
geerdeten Eingangen
Die 48 V-Phantom speisegerate BS 48 i. BS 48 i-2
und N 48 i-2 haben gleichspannungsfreie Ausgange.
so daB fur den AnschluB an einen unsymmetrischen Ein-
gang kein Ubertrager erfordeiiich ist.
Beim TLM 170 R ist Pin 2 die ..heiBe Phase1 ', und
Pin 3 muB fur unsymmetrische Eingange an Masse
gelegt werden (siehe Abbildung 1).
Bei vielen anderen als den o.g. Phantomspeisegera-
ten liegen nicht nur die Modulationsleitungen zum Mi
krophon auf dem Potential der Speisespannung von
+ 48 V. sondern auch die vom
Speisegerat
abgehenden

3.2.3 Central Powering
When more than two m icrophones are to be powered,
a permanently wired central powering system is rec
ommended.

If a mains power source is not available, power can
be supplied by one of the units BS 48 i (for one mi
crophone) or BS 48 i-2 (for two microphones). Both
units deliver 48 V ± 1 V. at 6 mA maximum, and are
p o w e re d b y a 9 -v o lt m o n o b lo c b a tte ry T yp e
IEC 6 F 22.
A microphone of the fet 100 Series can be operated
for approx. 20 hours on a BS 48 i.

Modulation polarity at the power supply is identical
with that at the m icrophone.
3.4
The48 V phantompowering units BS48i,BS 48 i-2 and
N 48 i-2 have dc-free outputs, so that no transformer
is required for connecting to an unbalanced input.
In the case of the TLM 170 R condenser microphone
pin 2 is the "hot phase" , and pin 3 must be connected
to earth (see Fig. 1).
In the case of many other phantom powering units
(except those mentioned above), not only the m od
ulation leads to the microphone, but also the outgo
